When you were born again, God's authority came to reside in your new spirit man. II Corinthians 5:17 tells us, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." The very basis of our authority lies in the word of God. Our entire life, every decision we face, should be made only on God's word and it's authority. Listen to what James 2:19 says, "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." This scripture is powerful evidence of God's power and authority. You may have noticed the word authority keeps coming up. When we walk in faith of God's promises, refusing to allow doubt to enter, it charts our course in life to succeed and accomplish the wonderful things of the Lord! God's desire for his people has always been for us to achieve his promises. You know, divine health, financial prosperity, peace, joy, children saved, all the blessings in the covenant! Let's go back to James 2:19, "the devils also believe, and tremble." Here again is that powerful evidence of the truth of God's word. Devils believe , and "tremble". Christians believe, and "rejoice". Satan knows when the born-again believer gains revelation of the authority of God's word that stops all attacks. Want proof? Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper." Begin today, right now, take authority over anything in your life that is not of God. Remember what Jesus said in John 10:10, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." That's you and me, life more abundant! I feel like shouting! Praise the Lord! Satan knows, now you know. You have the authority of God's word in your life. Rise up in faith, take you proper place. Make the decision right now that enough is enough.
